Rebels Baseball Downs Proctor 12-2

Moose Lake – Willow River pitcher Nate Zuk pitched a 1 hit complete game as the Rebels beat Proctor 12-2 in 5 innings Saturday in Moose Lake. ML-WR is now a perfect 3-0 on the season.

Zuk helped his own cause by pounding out three hits and driving in 4 RBI’s.

Joey Bohaty also had three hits, scoring two runs. Helping the Rebels cause were Rejean Carlson with two hits and three runs scored and Dan Anderson who scored two runs, while hitting two doubles and recording 4 RBI’s. Also getting in on the action were Abe Young and Michael Unzen knocking out two hits and scoring two runs each.

Moose Lake – Willow River will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Carlton to take on the Bulldogs. Proctor, now 1-4 on the season has lost three straight after beating Duluth Marshall in its season opener at the Metrodome. The Rails will travel to Ashland on Thursday to take on the Oredockers.
