Esko Starts Season 2-1

The Esko Eskomos finally found themselves on a diamond over the weekend, kicking their season off with a 10-4 loss to Superior. The Eskomos followed the loss up with a 4-1 win over Ashland and an 8-0 victory over Greenway.

In the 4-1 victory, Eric Rish was the winning pitcher, going 5 innings in relief, allowing one earned run on three hits, while striking out four batters. Carter Northey led the offense with two runs batted in.

In the victory over Greenway, Brody Kahldahl got the win, pitching five shutout innings, while allowing only two hits and striking out six. Riggs Olson went 2-3 with three runs batted in, while Kahldahl helped his cause at the plate, going 3-4.

The Eskomos hold a 2-1 record on the young season and will be back in action on April 25th when they take on the unbeaten Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers (2-0).
