Barnum Tops AlBrook 9-0

The Barnum Bombers and the AlBrook Falcons met Monday afternoon at Braun Park in Cloquet to open their Regular seasons. It was the Bombers that came away with a 9-0 shutout victory.

Alyssa Shanda’s 2-run home run in the 1st inning sent to tone for the game. Winning pitcher Katie Myhre also added three hits. Katrina Newman went 2-3 including a double and solo home run. Newman scored three runs in the win as well. Brianna Mattson went 2-3 on Monday and Jenna Shanda also added two hits

Bombers freshman pitcher Katie Myhre gave up only three hits, while striking out seven in the victory. Myhre is 1-0 for the season as are the Barnum Bombers. The AlBrook Falcons now drop to 0-2 on the season

The Bombers look to make it two wins in a row Tuesday afternoon as they take on Cromwell Cardinals in Cromwell. The AlBrook Falcons are back in action on Thursday afternoon as they will travel to Cherry for a doubleheader beginning at 3 pm
