Jacks win 10th Straight

Alex Oakes had a big night and the Cloquet volleyball team notched their 10th victory in a row by beating Hermantown 3-0. The win also means the Jacks finish the Lake Superior Conference with an undefeated record.

Oakes pounded down 16-kills and had 12-digs and seven ace serves in the 25-18, 25-22 and 25-14 victory over the Hawks.

Sami Westendorf also had a big day for the Jacks with 22-set assists and 16-digs. Taylor Leyrer provided a six kill and 17-dig night, while Callie Holm and Hazel Erickson were strong in the back row with 16-digs each.

Leading Hermantown was Cierra Slattengren with 11-kills and Jillayne Gilbert with eight kills and 17-digs. Jordyn Thomas chipped in with 10-set assists and Paige Tomlin recorded 18-digs.
