Section 7A Girls Soccer Semifinals Preview

Section 7A only has one team from the north remaining, which is the Hermantown Hawks. The Hawks are joined in the final four by Chisago Lakes, Princeton, and Zimmerman.

Hermantown and Chisago Lakes would match up for their spot in the finals. Hermantown, the 2nd seed, received a bye in the first round, and then went on to topple Duluth Marshall 5-0 to advance to the semifinals. Chisago Lakes, who is the 3 seed, went on to beat Mesabi East 6-0 in the first round and Duluth Denfeld 2-0 in the 2nd round to secure their spot in the final four.

Princeton and Zimmerman matched up in the other semifinals game. Princeton defeated Proctor 5-1 in the 2nd round after getting a first round bye for being the number 1 seed in the section. Zimmerman battled past Grand Rapids and Cloquet, 4-0 and 4-1 respectively, to get their chance at advancing to the Section championship.

The winners of both games will play for the Section 7A championship on Thursday at Duluth Denfeld.
