Panthers Topple Bulldogs

The South Ridge Panthers hosted the Carlton Bulldogs on Monday night and were able to get the job done as they sent the Bulldogs home with the 74-55 loss.

The Panthers grabbed a double digit lead at the half, leading 37-26. The Bulldogs tried to battle back in the 2nd half, but the Panthers weren’t having any of that as they outscored them 37-29 en route to the 74-55 victory.

The Panthers were lead by a balanced scoring attack that saw Colton Peterson notch 21 and Kody Karppinen and Bill Redding each score 17. Also scoring in the win was Dominic Janke with 6, Drew Janke tallying 5, and Trey Karppinen, Scott Sowers, Jerome Otis, and Jake Carlson each scoring 2 to top it off.

In the loss for the Bulldogs, Dominic Bennett scored 14, Cade Pierson notched 10, Adam Ermatinger and Nick Lee each tallied 9, Waylon Lekander had 5, Eric Soderstrom and Efren Morales-Cruz each scored 3, and Sam Macor rounded it out with 2.

The Panthers improve to 15-3 on the season and will play on the road when they travel to take on the Proctor Rails (7-10) on February 7th. The Bulldogs fall to 3-14 on the year and will take a long road trip and look to bounce back against the Cook County Vikings (3-9) on February 7th.
