The Barnum Bombers have been unstoppable for the past two months, last losing in just the second game of the season on December 6th. The Floodwood Polar Bears would try to stop the Bombers run of dominance but would join the list of teams that haven’t had much luck as the Bombers topped the Polar Bears 67-47.

The Bombers got out to the quick 34-19 lead at the half and would outscore the Polar Bears 29-28 in the second half to secure their 17th straight win, 67-47.

Leading the way for the Bombers was Brandon Newman who had a game high 22 points. Zac Carlson also hit double digits, scoring 13 on the evening. Also scoring in the win was Tory Slater with 6, Andrew Naslund and Mitchell Weller each notching 5, Nathan Jelinek with 3, and Chase Peterson topping it off with 2.

Leading the way in the loss for the Polar Bears was Riley Bernsdorf who scored 16 and Willow Christenson who added 12. Also scoring, Kyle Tamminen had 8, Ryder Lough notched 7, and Noah Thompson rounded it out with 4.

The Bombers improve to 18-1 on the season and will look to keep their streak alive when they host the Wrenshall Wrens (9-8) on February 7th. The Polar Bears fall to 12-6 on the season and will look to bounce back against the Northland Eagles (5-10) on February 6th.
