Facing the fifth ranked Class A Hilltoppers was a challenge for the Hunters, but Denfeld answered the call behind stellar goaltending from Wes Cook who finished with 35 saves to preserve the win.

The game-winning goal was notched by Alex Larson midway through the third period and Cook was able to slam the door along with defensive help by the entire Hunter squad.

In the second period the teams Nick Thompson gave the Hunters a 2-1 edge on the power play at 5:02, but again the Hilltoppers responded in kind with a power play goal of their own at 16:05 tied the score at 2-2 setting up the heroics by Larson and Cook in the final period.
