Rebels Blast Agates

The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels hit the 100 point plateau for the second time this season as the Rebels blasted the Two Harbors Agates by a score of 104-66 in a Polar League Conference battle at home Friday night.

The Rebels started fast and never looked back as they built up a 52-39 lead at half time and matched their 52 point output in the second half as the Rebels went on to the 38 point home win.

Matt Mach connected on 5 three-pointers and the Rebels had 12 as a team in the conference victory. Charlie Adamczak hit on 4 three-pointers also Friday night and Brad Fossum added 2.

Fossum led the Rebels with 30 points overall, while team mate Charlie Adamczak ended with a 28 points. Matt Mach and Zach Schaumberg both were in double digits with Mach finishing with 17 and Schaumberg who had 10 points.

Alex Lemke led the Agates with 25 points Friday night while Calvin Luhrsen ended with 13, and it was Kyle Omtvedt who ended with 10 points for the Agates in the loss.

The Rebels improve to 11-6 and have won four games in a row; the Rebels are back in action on Monday night when they will host the Mora Mustangs at Moose Lake High School.

The Agates fall to 8-7 and faced Eveleth-Gilbert on Saturday with no score reported. The Agates will host Northwoods on Monday night at home in a non conference contest.
