MOOSE LAKE- It seemed like the Cloquet Lumberjacks couldn’t miss from beyond the three point arc in the first half as the Lumberjacks at one point hot five straight three pointers on the way to a twenty point 46-26 half time lead and what turned into a 81-60 win for the Lumberjacks over Moose Lake-Willow River Monday night.

Nate Weets hit four of five of the three point attempts he had in the first half and Maxx Brenner along with Jake Bushey combined for seven first half three pointers for Cloquet. The Hot outside shooting in the first half would propel the Lumberjacks to a non-conference victory Monday as the Jacks improve to 11-1 on the season.

The hot outside first half shooting and the second half where Cloquet pounded the ball inside were all too much for the Rebels. Neil Dickinson head coach of the Rebels told Northland Sports Online “they are good very good; I never knew they could shoot like they do from the outside.”  Dickinson also mentioned that Laine is tough down low and once he got the ball on the block we couldn’t stop him.”
