Brown Hits 1000 in FDL Win

The Fond Du Lac Ogichida have been a high scoring team all season, averaging near 100 points per game and they would continue that high scoring on Thursday night when they topped the Hill City Hornets 90-59, and a night which Trevonte Brown crossed the 1000 point plateau for the Ogichida.

Brown crossing the 1000 points for his career, he became the third Ogichida player in school history to reach that milestone, behind Mike Diver and Kello Brown.

They would get off and running from the beginning of the game grabbing a monstrous 64-25 lead at halftime. They would get outscored by the Hornets in the 2nd half, 34-26 but still came out with the win, 90-59.

Leading the way for the Ogichida was Jordan Diver who had 27 points including 5 from deep. Bruce Martineau added 19 points in the win, Trevontae Brown scored 15, and Cameron Thompson tallied 12 points. Also in the win, Davonte Williamson had 6, Antonio Flores scored 5, Dexter Delille added 3, Levi Brisbios punched in 2, and Lester Williamson rounded it out with 1 point.

In the loss for the Hornters, Austin Duhnam scored 11 points and Mason Watkins added 10. Nate Oukrop, Chris James, and Phil Niesen all scored 8 points. Marcus Wagner punched in 6, and Jordan Johnson and Eric Watkins topped it off with 4 a piece.

With the win, Fond Du Lac improves to 10-1 on the season and will math up with the Ely Timberwolves (9-1) on January 11th at 2:30 in Ely. Hill City falls to 5-6 on the season.
