Eskomos Best Hounds

In the Eskomos first game of 2014, they would come out victorious over the Duluth East Greyhounds, with the 50-38 victory on Thursday night.

The Eskomos would get out to a 10 point lead at halftime, 25-15 and they wouldn’t look back as they would outscore the Greyhounds 25-23 in the 2nd half while on their way to their 10th victory of the season!

Leading the way in the victory for the Eskomos was Marc Peterson who notched 17 points in the win. Kory Deadrick and Casey Staniger would also be in double digits with 13 and 10 points respectively. Nate Johnson would add 5 in the win, Jaxson Turner pitched in 3, and Jacob Lindstrom rounded it out with 2 points.

In the loss for the Greyhounds, they would have a balanced scoring attack lead by Chas McBeath and Sam Thompson who had 8 a piece. Also, Ryan Downing and Joey Zwak each added 7. Topping off the scoring for Duluth East was Aaron Maslowski, Quentin Miller, Willie Woodfork, and Joe Yernatich who all had 2 points a piece.

With the victory, the Eskomos improve to 10-1 on the season and will be back into action when they hit the road to take on the Carlton Bulldogs (2-8) on January 10th. The Duluth East Greyhounds fall to 1-10 on the year and will play the Blaine Bengals (6-6) on Saturday, January 11th at 7:00 PM.
