The Barnum Bombers fell to the Two Harbors Agates on Tuesday at Barnum. The Bombers entered the game
hoping to put an end to their
three game losing streak at home.
Barnum started out well, but in the end they fell to the Agates 11-3.

“We played a very good game today,” head coach Dave Duesler told Northland Sports Online. “It was a close game until the top of the sixth when they strung together a bunch of hits and scored six runs…Two Harbors is a good team, our pitchers ran out of gas and we let them have that huge inning,” Duesler added. The Bombers trailed 5-3 going into the top of the sixth and would not get any closer, falling by eight runs.

Erik Johnson led the Bombers offensively with a 4-4
effort at the plate, including two doubles. He also drove two runs. Brody Peterson drove in the other run for the Bombers. Frankie Barrios pitched five strong innings for Barnum, but he ended up as the losing pitcher Tuesday.

Barnum now falls to 1-4 overall on the season; they will try to end the four game losing streak on Wednesday as they host the Cotton Cardinals in a make-up game from Monday. The Agates improve to 7-1 on the season and will host Moose Lake Willow River on Thursday.
