Two Harbors Gets By Carlton

In the last game for these two teams in 2013, both were looking to close it out on the winning side. The Two Harbos Agates traveled to Carlton on Monday night to take on the Bulldogs and came out with the win, 61-44.

The Bulldogs held the lead at halftime by a very slim 23-22 margin, but the Agates would go on a scoring barrage in the second half, outscoring the Bulldogs 39-21 while on their way to grabbing the 61-44 victory.

The Agates were lead by three players scoring in double digits. Tim Bott scored 16, Alex Lemke added 15, and Kyle Omtvedt pitched in 12. Kyler Kinn scored 8 in the win, John Peer Jr notched 6, and Calvin Luhrsen and Hunter Preston topped it off with 2 a piece.

In the loss for the Bulldogs, Adam Ermatinger had a game high 21 points. Dominic Bennett added 9 to the scoreboard, Cade Pierson tacked on 8, and Tyler Ojibway and Eric Soderstrom rounded it out with 3 a piece.

The win boosts Two Harbors to a 5-4 record on the year. The Agates will be back in action when they take on the Proctor Rails (4-5) on January 4th with a 4:00 PM start. The Bulldogs fall to 1-8 on the season and will go on the road to take on the McGregor Mercuries (2-7) on January 3rd.
