Newman hits for 33 in Bombers Win

Culver- Brandon Newman hit for 33 points Monday night as the Barnum Bombers knocked off the South Ridge Panthers 73-35 Monday night at South Ridge High School.

In a battle of two 6-1 teams and both teams coming in with identical 6-1 records it looked like it was going to be a battle till the end, but it was the Bombers hot shooting along with foul trouble and poor shooting by the Panthers and this game was decided early on Monday night.

Colton Peterson, Dominic Janke, and Kody Karppinen all spent time on the Panther bench with 3 fouls in the first half with Peterson spending almost 16 minutes on the bench which took a key player away from South Ridge.

With the poor shooting, fouls, and turnovers the Bombers exposed their openings and took full advantage as Barnum blew out to a 43-21 lead at halftime behind 16 first half points by Newman.
