The Esko Eskomos picked up another big win Monday night when they downed the Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears 67-35 on the road. Esko jumped out to an eighteen point (33-15) lead at halftime and cruised to the Section 7AA win.

The Eskomos jumped out to an early first half lead and were never challenged after that. It was Amanda Bergstedt having a big night for the Eskomos, scoring 20 points, including three three-pointers in the Eskomo win


Following Bergstedt in scoring was Keely Deadrick with 11 points, Savanna Trapp added 9 points in the win, Katie Tonner, Lydia Pelletier, and Alyson Glumac all finished with 6 points in the victory, Danielle Salo added 4 points, and Angie Wagemaker closed out the scoring with 3 points.


Esko finishes up their regular season this week with two games, first at home on Thursday with Proctor and then closing out the regular season at Duluth East on Friday. The Eskomos improve to 20-4 on the season.


The Golden Bears fall to 7-14 on the season with the loss Monday night. Megan Vidas led the Golden bears with 14 points, while Kayla Oates and Amy Terrio each added 6 points for Eveleth-Gilbert. The Golden Bears finish the season with games Thursday at Duluth Central and Friday against Two Harbors at home.
