The Cloquet Lumberjacks softball team continued their winning ways on Monday by beating the Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears 13-0 at Braun Park in Cloquet.

Katrina Korman and Rachel Smith combined to pitch a one hitter while not issuing a walk in the 13-0 five-inning victory. Korman also struck out five Golden Bears.

Offensively, Dalyce Gustafson, who went 2-4 with a double and a triple while driving in 4 RBIs, led the Jacks. Kayla Masessa was 2-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs. Liz Jezierski also added two hits in her first game back from an injury,

With the victory, the Lumberjacks are now 7-1 on the season. They will host Ashland on Tuesday and travel to Hermantown on Thursday for a big Lake Superior Conference showdown against the Hawks. Eveleth-Gilbert falls to 0-5 on the season and will look for their first win as they travel to Mountain Iron-Buhl on Tuesday.
