Hermantown Falls In OT

The Hermantown Hawks and Crosby-Ironton Rangers would square off on Friday night in what would be an exciting match-up that required extra time to be placed on the clock as Hermantown would fall in the overtime, 58-55.

Hermantown would hold the slight advantage at half, leading by just one point, 23-22. The second half would be equal throughout as well, as Crosby-Ironton would get that one point back, outscoring the Hawks 27-26 to send it into overtime. The overtime would see the Rangers outscoring the Hawks 9-6, securing them the hard fought victory, 58-55.

For the Hawks in the loss, Kole Zuidmulder had a game high 24 points. Thomas Madison also had a nice effort with 11 points. Also in the loss, Justin Brendon put up 8, Cade Zacharias added 6, and Zach Brendon and Chase Hren topped it off with 3 a piece.

Crosby-Ironton was lead by Daniel Hudrlik who had 18, Noah Gindorff added 14, and Will Goodwin pitched in 12.

The Crosby-Ironton Rangers move to 5-1 on the season while the Hawks dropped to 4-3 on the year. The Hermantown Hawks will be back into action on Friday, December 27th when they participate in the Pequot Lakes Tournament. Their first opponent will be the Barnesville Trojans (3-3) at 6:00 PM
