Rebels-Bluestreaks Skate to Tie

The Moose Lake Area Rebels Girls hockey team verses Hibbing Chisholm Bluestreaks skated to a 3-3 tie Tuesday night at Riverside arena in Moose Lake.

Karina Cisar scored early at 3:28 of the 1st quarter. Jessica Bird scored late and a 2 goal lead for the Rebels after 1 period. The Bluejackets scored the only goal of the 2nd period by Mallorie Iozzo at 2:32.

The 3rd period started out with a flurry of goals. HC’s Amy Brownell scored at 1:08. Bird scored at 3:45 for her Second Goal of the game and a 1 goal lead at 3-2. That lead only lasted 15 seconds as Madi Sanders scored at 4:00. 3-3 would hold up through the rest of the 3rd period and overtime.

MLA goalie Cassie White made 33 saves while HC goalie had 20 saves. The Rebels record is 5-5 with 2 ties. The Bluejackets are 6-4 and 1 tie.

MLA gets back on the ice on Saturday the 21st at Superior. HC heads to Pequot Lakes on Thursday to face the Northern lights.
