Faribault Picks up First win of the Season

The Faribault Falcons picked up their first win of the season on Friday night as the Falcons knocked off the Denfeld Hunters 59-56 in a close battle Friday night at Duluth Denfeld High School.

The Falcons and the Hunters battled back and forth all game long and it showed as Faribault held on to a two point 30-29 lead at halftime. The second half saw the Falcons out score the Hunters by two to end with a three point victory.

Nate Emge hit four 3-pointers to lead the Falcons with a total of 32 points on the night and was the only Falcon in double figures. Kallan Hart added 7 and it was Porter Sartor who added 4 points in the Falcons win.

The Hunters were led by Sjon Randa who had 20 points including five 3-pointers, Jack Monson added 13, while Kjell Randa had 7, and it was Bryce Kucharski with 4 and Connor Behm who chipped in with 3 in the Hunters loss.

Faribault improves to 1-8 on the season and they will play at Albert Lea on Tuesday night. The Hunters fall to 0-3 on the season and they will face Esko on Tuesday night at Esko.
