The ability to kill penalties helped the Proctor Rails record a 2-1 victory over Mora/Hinckley-Finlayson on Thursday night in boys hockey. The Rails were a man short four times and killed off all those penalties in picking up the win on the road at the Mora Civic Center.

Lucas McCarthy gave the Rebels a 1-0 lead at 10:11 of the first period with Justin Scanlon picking up the lone assist.

MHF scored their only goal of the game in the second period at 11:05 when Darin Erickson scored an unassisted goal to tie the game at 1-1.

With just 1:07 left in regulation, Andrew Michalski scored the game winning goal for the Rails with assists going to Patrick Everson and Tom Rossiter.

Derek Robinson continued to stay hot in the nets for the Rails by picking up 28 saves on 29 shots, while the Rails put 23 shots on the MHF goal.
