Esko-Carlton Wins Polar League Golf Meet

The Esko/Carlton Boys and Girls golf teams won the Polar League Meet at Moose Lake Golf Club this week. Esko/ Carlton won both the boys and the girls meets, with Moose Lake – Willow River finishing second in both the boys and girls meets.

Esko/Carlton won the Boys team with a final score of 325, second place Moose Lake – Willow River shot 349, Cook County was third shooting 351, and Two Harbors shot 359.

The Girls meet had Esko/ Carlton shooting 211 while Moose Lake – Willow River shot 242. The meet, played at Moose Lake, was originally scheduled to be played at Cloquet, but Cloquet is not open for play as of yet.

In Individual results for the boys, it was Jacob Indihar of MLWR shooting 72 to capture first, second place was Jack Pelletier, of Esko/Carlton who shot 74, and in third was Jake Sivertson, Cook County who shot 80.

In the girls meet it was Katy Gerlovich, of Esko/Carlton who shot 46 to finish first, Erin Hoeft of Two Harbors shot 49 was second and Cori Pelletier of Esko/Carlton was third as she shot 52.
