The Barnum Boys Basketball team is back on the winning track after falling in their last two games against Sebeka and Moose Lake-Willow River. The Bombers faced the Agates of Two Harbors on Friday night and they came away with a big 68-48 win in Two Harbors.

The Bombers built an eleven point halftime lead of 37-26, and went on to win this Polar League match up on the road. “We played pretty well tonight.” Head Coach Richard Newman told Northland Sports Online, “Playing without Taylor tonight I thought the kids worked hard and was a nice win.” The Bombers were without senior Taylor Carlson on Friday as he was recovering from an injury suffered in the ML-WR game.

Jacob Naslund scored 15 points to lead the Bombers in scoring, Bobby Minkkinen added 13 points in the win, Nick White added 11, Andrew Youngren scored 10, Josh Hogan finished with 6, Justin Newman and Derek Sack each scored 4 points, Hector Chavez scored 3, and Luke Chalberg scored 2 points in the Barnum win.

The Bombers improve to 10-2 on the season and will be in action again on Monday night when the Bombers take part in a Boys-Girls doubleheader at Northland High School. The Girls will play first at 5:00 pm, and the boy’s game will follow the conclusion of the girl’s game.
