With an over 2-to-1 shot advantage Proctor derailed Pine City-Rush City in boys hockey on Thursday night 5-2. The Rails won the shot tally 42-16 and pulled away with a pair of third period goals.

Lucas McCarthy gave the Rails a 1-0 first period lead at 6:14 of the period and that is how things stood after one period of play. Both teams scored a pair of goals in a wild second period. PC-RC scored at 1:16 in a 4-on-4 situation, but Tyler Pionk gave Proctor the lead back at 3:05. Again, PC-RC scored, this time at 4:51 on the power play by Adam Olson.
However, less than two minutes later it was the Rails notching a power play goal from Tom Rossiter at 6:23 with McCarthy and Ian Ecklund picking up assists.

Rossiter picked up two more goals in the final period to complete the hat trick with goals coming at 3:27 and 12:29 on the power play.

Rails goaltender Derek Robinson made 16 saves on 18 shots.
