CEC Tennis Defeats Ashland 4-3

Things continue to look good for a much-improved Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boy’s tennis team. On Tuesday, the Jacks defeated Ashland 4-3 as they continue to show they are a stronger team than in recent years.

All three of CEC’s losses came in the #1-#3 singles matches. Colton Roy, Dylan Burslie and John Scheuer all were beaten by their Ashland opponents, but at #4 singles it was Zach Zezulka of CEC picking up a 6-1, 6-1 win over Peter Lewis of the Oredockers.

The Lumberjacks swept the doubles events with Nathan Blascyk and Jake Sorenson winning at #1, Ryan Kedrowski and Niko Michaelson winning at #2 and Sean Kedrowski and Jon Hammitt finishing things off at #3 doubles.
