Barnum 58 Murray County Central 40

The Barnum Bombers made it a perfect weekend as they downed the previously unbeaten Rebels. Barnum defeated Fulda on Friday night and improved to 4-1 on the season on Saturday with a victory over the Rebels. Barnum will face another tough opponent on Tuesday when they play the Section 7A runners-up from last year, the Floodwood Polar Bears.

Barnum 55 Duluth Denfeld 52

Barnum’s Justin Newman hit a clutch three-pointer with the Bombers trailing by one point. After the made shot from beyond the arc, Barnum’s Nick White hit a free throw to hold off the Hunters in a non-conference win at home on Saturday afternoon. Nick White had a game high of 16 points for the Bombers and Justin Newman added 14 in the win.

Virginia 82 MLWR 65

Mitch Buck scored 21 points and Nate Anderson added 15 for the Bluedevils as they notched a sectional win over Moose Lake-Willow River. The Bluedevils led 54-28 at the break and cruised to the 17 point win. The Rebels were led by Austin Jacobson, who finished with 19 points on the night for the Rebels.

Henry Sibley 64 Cloquet 38

The Cloquet Lumberjacks fell behind the Warriors early in the game and could never muster anyt offensive that would put them back in the game. RaRa Jones led the Lumberjacks in scoring with 10 points on the afternoon. Chad Calcaterra was held to 2-13 shooting, finishing with 8 points. Calcaterra had 8 rebounds and seven blocked shots.
