CEC Boys Net 10-2 Victory Over Proctor

CLOQUET – Jack McFarlane pumped in four goals and the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys hockey team rolled to a 10-2 win over Proctor at the Cloquet Area Recreation Center on Tuesday evening.

The Lumberjacks led just 4-2 after the first period, but blew the game open with a pair of second period goals and four more unanswered goals in the final stanza. Chaise Jokinen, McFarlane, Ben Michaud and Adam Hanson all scored in the first period for the Jacks. In the second period, McFarlane scored a pair of goals to up the lead to 6-2 and in the final period it was Corbin Morse, Paul Ryan, McFarlane and Max Reinertson all picking up scores for CEC.

Derek Robinson played a strong game through 2 1/2 periods in nets for the Rails, but the strong Lumberjack forecheck finally sent Robinson to the bench with 49 saves while CEC netminder Boyd Smith finished with 31 saves.
