Hermantown Boys Win Big Over Two Harbors

The Hermantown Hawks continue on their early season roll with an 8-0 victory over Two Harbors on Tuesday night. Hermantown improved to 2-0 after blasting the Agate net with 71 shots, including 35 in the third period alone.

Willis Kantonen and Andrew Mattson both scored in the first period as the Hawks built a 2-0 lead after the opening stanza.

Adam Krause and Kantonen pounded home goals in the second period and the Hawks forged to a 4-0 lead. For the game Kantonen and Krause both tallied a pair of goals.

In the third period it was all Hermantown as they powered home four more goals to take the win 8-0. Krause, Jesse Dyson, Charlie Comnick and Jared Thomas all picked up goals in the period.

Mickey Lee had a busy night for Two Harbors as he made 63 saves on 71 shots, while Tyler Ampe faced just six shots in picking up the shutout for the Hawks.
