Bombers Move to 5-0

Barnum Remains Unbeaten

Brandon Newman and Zach Peterson each scored first quarter touchdowns as the Bombers went on to a 36-8 victory over the Giants of Mesabi East High School Friday night in Barnum.

The Bombers would add three more third quarter touchdowns as Newman would score his second rushing touchdown of the game, Cody Shelgren had a 35 yard touchdown run and Tommy Ziegler added a 56 yard interception return as the Bombers move to 5-0 on the season.

Zac Carlson scored three two point conversions for the Bombers who nearly matched their season average of 38 points per game. The defense of the Bombers continued to play well as they held the Giants to only 8 points under the season average of 11 points per game.

The Bombers improve to 5-0 on the season and they will have a stiff test next week at home when the Bombers will host the Braham Bombers in a section match-up of two unbeaten teams.

The Giants fall to 2-3 on the season and they will take on the Eagles of East Central in Sandstone next Friday night.
