Cloquet Boys-Duluth East Girls win Nemadji Invite

The Cloquet boys cross country team, and the Duluth East Greyhounds girls cross country team each captured the team titles in the Nemadji Cross Country Invitational Thursday afternoon in Superior at Nemadji Golf Course.

Dylan Marvel from Cloquet was the boys champion, and it was Kailee Kiminski of Esko who took home first place in the girls varsity race Thursday afternoon.

 

 

The Lumberjacks who had three runners in the top ten including Issac Boedigheimer who finished in third place and it was Jace Anderson who was seventh all who helped the Lumberjacks take home first place.

 

 

Keaton Long of Duluth East finished in second place, Ryan Kero of Hermantown was fourth, and finishing in fifth place was Chris Carey of Superior High School.

Duluth East was second, Northwestern was third, it was Hibbing finishing in fourth place and Esko took home fifth place on the boys side.

The Duluth East Greyhounds used four runners in the top ten to take first in the girls team event, as Esko finished in a distant second. Three Wisconsin schools took home the next three sports as Superior finished third, Northwestern was fourth, and Ashland ended up in fifth place overall.

 

 

 

 

 

Following Kiminski in the girls varsity race it was Anja Maijaila of Cloquet was second overall, Emma Nelson of Northwestern was third, Ashland’s Harley Kinney was fourth, and it was Phoebe Koski of Duluth East placing in fifth.
