The Barnum Bombers traveled to Carlton to face the Bulldogs in a Polar League match up. Even though Barnum won in three straight games, it was a hard fought match by both teams. They beat the Bulldogs 26-24, 25-22 and
25-21.

Game one was tight the whole way with both teams trading the lead several times. Carlton led 22-20, but the Bombers fought back and won six of the final eight points to take the opening game of the match.

The second game resembled the first nearly score for score, with several lead changes and the Bombers taking advantage of some Bulldogs mistakes down the stretch of the second game.
Barnum won this match by three points.

In the third game it was Carlton who jumped out to an early lead at 12-8, but a timeout by Barnum would get the Bombers refocused. Following the timeout, Barnum went on a 14-2 run, building an eight point lead which was too much for the Bulldogs to overcome. With the win, Barnum stays undefeated in the Polar League.

Barnum, with the win Thursday night, has tied for a share of the Polar League championship. They will look to win the Polar League outright for the first time ever on Tuesday when they host the Wrenshall Wrens.

Barnum improves to 16-2 on the season. Carlton falls to 11-10 overall and the will be in action this Saturday when they play in a four team meet in Mora. Mora along with Carlton, St. Cloud Apollo and Becker will participate in the tournament.
