The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton tennis team hit the road last night and lost a 5-2 match to the Hermantown Hawks. CEC managed just one win in singles and one win in doubles against Hermantown on this crisp and cool night.

Kelsey Collier of CEC notched a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 decision at number one singles over DJ Nelson, but that would be the only win in singles for the Jacks. CEC’s Stephanie Campbell dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision at number three singles to Ashley Lund and Lizz Jezierski fell at number four singles 6-1, 6-1 to Sarah Cooke.

At number one doubles, the CEC team of Savanna Ellena and Savannah Hanson defeated Molly Peterson and Joanna Carlson 3-6, 6-2 and 10-7, but like singles that would be the only win CEC could muster.
