In what Head Coach Steve Rickstrom described as “the worst weather conditions we have seen so far this season,” the CEC girls tennis team got the 6-1 road win over Duluth Denfeld.

C-E-C shuffled its lineup a bit on Thursday giving Kelsey Collier her first doubles action in over a year and Savannah Hanson a chance to play singles before her career at CEC comes to an end.

Alicen Johnson played well in Collier’s place at number one singles
winning her match in straight sets of 6-0 and 6-2.

In one of the more entertaining matches of the evening, freshman Reilly Kedrowski did a nice job of coming back against her opponent at number four singles. After losing the first set 4-6, Kedrowski came back with sets of 6-2 and 10-7 for the win.

Savanna Hanson won in straight sets of 6-1, 6-2 to win the number three singles match and all three doubles teams won in straight sets to help the Jacks to the road win

The Jacks will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Hermantown to take on the ever tough Hawks.
