Carlton Gets 3-1 Win Over Wrenshall

Carlton Volleyball continued to roll on Thursday by beating the visiting Wrenshall Wrens 3-0. With Thursday’s win, the Bulldogs have won six of their last seven matches including going 3-1 in the Bagley Tournament over the past weekend.


While Wrenshall displayed some uncanny athletic ability on digs, Carlton was just too strong, and in the end won their games with scores of 25-13, 25-10, and 25-15.


Tayler Carpenter led Carlton with 9 kills; Katie Bloom was right behind with 7 kills. Clarissa Nelson finished with 5 kills and Sara Aili added 4 Kills in the win.


Rayna Little had 5 kills and was 100% serving, going 7-7 for the Wrens. Jade Dahl also had a solid game recording 6 digs and 100% (5-5) serving also.


Carlton faces a tough schedule in the upcoming week when they travel to Hermantown on Monday and Cloquet on Tuesday before hosing the yet unbeaten Barnum Bombers on Thursday.


Wrenshall will be back in action on Tuesday when the travel to Cromwell to take on the 9-9 Cardinals.
