Cromwell Gets 5 Game Victory Over ML-WR

The Cromwell Cardinals volleyball team defeated the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels at home in a match that went all five games with scores of 22-25, 26-24, 25-27, 25-11, and 15-13.

RaeAnn Odegaard had 13 digs in the victory for Cromwell, while MaKaleigh Cahoon had 8 blocks and was 8-8 serving. Emily Hendrickson had 7 digs and was 15 for 15 serving. Ashley Collman had a solid match with 12-12 serving and 13 digs.

Moose Lake-Willow River was led by Alyssa Jusczak with 10 kills. Sheenagh Caroline had 9 kills and 4 ace serves and Katie Youngberg came out with 18 digs.

The match victory was the first win at home under Cardinal head coach Lori Wester and the first win over Moose Lake-Willow River in five years.

The Rebels fell to 2-9, while Cromwell improved to 7-7-2. Moose Lake-Willow River plays at Carlton Thursday, while Cromwell is at McGregor Thursday to play the Mercuries.
