In Friday night high school football, the Barnum Bombers rolled over Onamia, downing the Panthers by a score of 34-6. With a confident early season record of 2-0, the Bombers have a huge contest next Friday against East Central.

“Friday’s game against East Central will be huge for us,” head coach Kevin Haley told Northland Sports Online. “We will face a real good team and it will let us know if we are at the top of our section…Three teams are a top the section standings and only two could be left after Friday.”

In the 34-6 win over Onamia, it was junior halfback Josh Hogan putting a dominating first half performance, scoring four touchdowns in the first half alone. Three of Hogan’s touchdowns were rushing; the other was a pass reception of 27 yards from Nick White. Hogan also added to his impressive night by scoring two 2-point conversions.

Taylor Carlson added the other touchdown as the Bombers rolled to a 34-0 lead at the half.
They were
never challenged in the second half. Nick White racked up seventy yards passing for the Bombers as they opened it up more offensively on Friday. Once again, the Barnum defense was impressive, forcing five turnovers, three of which were interceptions.

The Bombers will face East Central on Friday at home at 7:00 pm. Like the Bombers, the Eagles are coming off of two straight wins to open the season. The Eagles have outscored their opponents 76-7 in two games this season.
