Deadrick’s 28 Points Leads Esko To Victory Over Marshall

Four different players entered the double-digit scoring column for the Esko boys basketball team on Tuesday night in the Eskomos 85-46 victory over Duluth Marshall in Esko.

Kory Deadrick with 28 points, Casey Staniger with 15 points, Marc Peterson’s 13 points and 10 points from Bobby Wright helped to lead the Eskomos to the win over the Hilltoppers.

Esko raced out to a 44-20 halftime lead and never looked back in taking the win while hitting 10 3-pointers in the game.

Derek Pantsar added five points to the Esko cause, it was four points for Aaron Olson, Ben Hanson and Reed Bakken both finished with three points and Nate Johnson and Jaxon Turner both offered two points for the Eskomos.

Will Heyer did his best to keep Marshall in the game with 25 points and Alex Davis added 10 points to help pace the Hilltoppers.


Esko is now 2-1 on the season and will make the trip up the shore to Grand Marais to take on Cook County on Thursday.
