Esko Volleyball Downs Hinckley-Finlayson 3-0

For the second time in as many days, athletes from Esko traveled down I-35 to battle the Jaguars of Hinckley-Finlayson. On Thursday night the football team secured a 28-18 victory against the Jaguars and tonight it was the volleyball team’s turn to leave town with a victory.

Esko, coming off a tough five game loss to Hermantown, rebounded well and made short work of the Jaguars. The Eskomos won the matchup 3-0, with games of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-16.

Keely Deadrick paced the Eskomos, recording 5 digs, 6 kills, and 12 set assists. Kayla Handevidt had 4 digs and 10 kills. Janae Beaudot and Allison Glumac both supplied 5 digs and 3 kills, while Stephanie Bandelin helped out with 4 kills.

With the win, the Eskomos are now 2-1 on the season and will host Cromwell Tuesday at 7:00pm.
