CEC Tennis Has Strong Outing Defeats Denfeld 7-0

It was a strong night for the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls tennis team. The Lumberjacks throttled Duluth Denfeld 7-0 and once again displayed their resiliency.


Kelsey Collier pounded Megan Torgerson at #1 singles by scores of 6-0, 6-1 and at #2 singles it was Alicen Johnson of CEC blasting Whitney Morgan 6-2, 6-2.


CEC continued their dominance at #3 and #4 singles with a convincing win by Stephanie Campbell and a Houdini style escape from Liz Jezierski. Campbell won 6-0, 6-1 and Jezierski defeated Kristina Bentley 7-5, 7-5.


In doubles, the Jacks picked up a win at #1 from Savannah Hanson and Savanna Ellena by scores of 6-1, 6-2. At #2 doubles it was Rielly Kedrowski and Michaela Houser notching a win at 6-1, 6-1 and at #3 it was Katie Shevich and Malyssa Brady taking a 6-1, 6-0 win over their opponents.
