The Proctor Rail boys soccer team relied on relentless pressure offensively to pick up a 2-0 win over Hermantown on Monday afternoon.

Brett Pinney scored, what would be the game winning goal, in the 20th minute of the game with an assist to Jake Kuno. The 1-0 lead stayed that way as the first half ended.

The lone goal of the second half was set up by Cade Hella when he found Christian Ripley for a goal in the 79th minute.

Proctor put 14 shots on Hermantown goalie Josh Lenard and freshman Michael Petoletti had to make five saves for the Rails to preserve the shutout.

With the win, Proctor improves to 5-3-1 and will travel to Duluth Marshall on Tuesday. The Hawks will host Duluth East on Wednesday.
