CEC Girls Foall To Crosby-Ironton 5-2

The Crosby-Ironton Rangers were a little rough on their hosts on Tuesday. The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton girls tennis team struggled in finding wins against the tough Rangers who defeated the Jacks 5-2 in Cloquet.

CEC’s lone singles win was at #4 singles by Rosalie Lundquist who defeated Karrina Myhre 6-1, 2-6 and 10-4 in the tie breaker. The Jacks lone win in doubles play was at #3 when Debi Plante and Abbey Wangen downed their opponents 6-4, 6-1.

In singles all of the top three positions for CEC went down in defeated. Brianne Baker fell 6-3, 6-4 at #1. At #2 it was Rachel Collier dropping a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Abby Gindorf. At #3 it was CEC’s Lora Chalich dropping a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Kari Watson.

The #1 CEC doubles team of Alyssa Acheson and Reilly Kedrowksi dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Shannon Lindgren and Meredith Silgen and the #2 team of Katrina Smith and Katelyn Litke lost 6-0, 6-3.
