It took a late goal by Grand Rapids, but it was enough for the Thunderhawks to take a 1-0 victory over Cloquet-Esko-Carlton in boys soccer on Tuesday afternoon.

Ben Ziemski scored in the 71st minute, was unassisted and that was all the Thunderhawks would need in picking up a well-earned road win in Cloquet.

The game was not without chances as both teams had plenty of shots on the opposition goaltenders. CEC goalie, Halen Danielson finished with 12-saves on 13-shots, while Grand Rapids goalie, A.J. Watkins finished with 13-saves in preserving the non-conference shutout.

The loss drops the Jacks to 5-4-2 overall. They will hit the field again on Thursday when they travel to Duluth Marshall.
