The Carlton Bulldogs, coming off a big win at Cook County last week, continued to roll as they knocked off the Two Harbors Agates in three straight games to sweep the set. The huge win sets up a big showdown with the conference leader Esko on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs won the match in three straight games 25-11, 25-5, and 25-10. Carlton jumped out in front fast in the first game, building leads of 12-6 and again built up a 10 point lead at 20-10 before going on to win the first game of the match.

The second game of the match saw Grace Macor break things open after being tied at 2-2. Behind Macor’s serving Carlton went on a 7-0 run to go in front 9-2. Macy Belich had two ace serves in a four point run as Carlton continued add to their lead as Belich made it 15-4. Jessica Stanslaski served the final 8 points and ended the second game of the match with a huge ace serve.

The third game of the match was much like the first two with Carlton jumping out fast to a 7-0 lead and again built a 15-3 lead as they went on to the 15 point win in the third game of the match.

The win improves the Bulldogs to an overall record of 8-2 overall and they will face another conference rival in Esko on Thursday night. The Eskomos and the Bulldogs both enter the match-up Thursday undefeated in conference play. The winner will have possession of first place in the conference and an inside track on the conference title.
