Despite playing tough and getting another outstanding performance from netminder Kenzie Rathe, the Cloquet Lumberjacks fell to the Academy of Holy Angels on Saturday by a score of 2-0.

Holy Angels scored a goal in each half with the first tally coming at the 18:50 mark off the foot of Bridget Schoffman. The Stars made it 2-0 when Abby Welsch got loose and scored unassisted at 49:43 of the second half.

Rathe ended the day with 13 saves, most of which were off quality shots. AHA goalie Jackie Bockoven finished with four saves on four shots for the Stars.

The win completes a northern road trip sweep for AHA who also beat Two Harbors on Friday by a score of 10-0. The wins were the first two of the season for the Stars, who started out 0-3 against other Twin Cities powerhouses.

Cloquet will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Duluth Marshall for a 4:30pm contest with the Hilltoppers.
