Wrens Snap 49 Game Volleyball Losing Streak

It took just two games for the Wrenshall volleyball team to give first year head coach Andrea Ruth her first win at the helm of the girls volleyball program. The wrens topped Lakeview Christian Academy on the road by scores of; 25-22, 25-14 and 25-22 on Thursday night


The win brought to an end a 49-game losing streak ended which dated back to September 17th, 2009 when the beat the Two Harbors Agates 3-1 for their only win of the 2009-2010 season.

Chloe Swanson had a strong overall game with 12-set assists, seven ace serves and five digs. Tatum Swanson had nine-kills and seven ace serves. Wrenshall also got four ace serves from Kaitlyn Kelly and 100% serving from both Shawna Laveau and Keeley Shae Dianoski.


The Wrens even their record at 1-1 on the early season and will be back in action on September 4 when they travel to Esko to take on the Eskomos.
