Jacks Even Volleyball Record at 1-1 With Impressive Victory

After a first game stumble against Duluth East the Cloquet girls volleyball team bounced back with an impressive 3-0 win over Barnum on Thursday night. The Jacks won easily by scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-7.

Leading the Cloquet attack at the net was Sami Westendorf with 12-kills and Chandler Beaupre, who had seven kills. Westendorf had a well-rounded game for Cloquet as she added five digs and five ace serves to her work at the net.

Jess Stone also had a big day with 21-set assists, five digs and four ace serves, while Alex Oakes finished with four ace serves.

Cloquet is now 1-1 on the season and will be off until after the Labor Day break when they will travel to Grand Rapids on September 4.
