Jacks Continue To Roll With 6-1 Win

The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys tennis team continued a stellar season on Wednesday afternoon by downing Superior 6-1 by virtue of sweeping all four singles matches and nearly doing the same in the doubles competition.


Sean Kedrowski took his #1 singles match over Superior’s Ben Erickson 6-4, 6-1. At #2 CEC’s John Scheuer defeated Deven Forseth 6-1, 6-1. At #3 singles the Jacks got another win from Christian Pritchett who defeated Zach Reiswig 6-1, 6-0 and at #4 singles it was Joey Gotchnik of CEC beating Connor Gray 6-3, 6-2.


CEC continued their dominance in doubles at #1 doubles when Ryan Willgohs and Rob Sobczak downed Derek Struss and Hank Kowalik 6-0, 6-1. At #2 doubles the CEC duo of Luke Tomhave and Anders Pertler defeated Michael Johnson and Ryan Kurkinen 6-0, 6-1. Superior picked up their lone win at #3 doubles when Anthony Bronson and Ryan Bergstrom beat the CEC team of Adam Kangas and Josh Keith 6-4, 6-2.
