Kendra Dallmann out-dueled Lauren Hultgren on the mound and the South Ridge Panthers delivered a 6-4 road win in softball on Tuesday night. Dallmann allowed nine hits, walked five and gave up four earned runs, but she also fanned eight in pitching her team to the win.

A big key to the success for the Panthers was their ability to put the ball in play against the Bombers. The Panthers had 14 hits in the win including three by Jakubek which included a double and an RBI. Kourtney Karppinen and Alyssa Johnson both knocked out two hits in the victory. Karppinen added two RBIs and Johnson added a double and two RBIs.

Karianna Duesler went 2-for-2 for Barnum with an RBI and Alainie Hanek-Siltanen was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of stolen bases.

For her part Barnum’s pitcher, Hultgren, gave up 14 hits, walked three and fanned two in taking the loss.

South Ridge extends its record to 9-3 and will be back at it when they travel to Deer River on Thursday. The Bombers are 5-6 on the season and will host Esko on Thursday in an early 3:30pm game.
