Barnum Blasts Braham With 24 Runs In Six Inning Victory

The Barnum Bombers picked up a non-conference victory on Monday afternoon as the Bombers of Barnum defeated the Bombers of Braham by a score of 24-10 in a six inning shoot-out in Braham on Monday afternoon.


The Bombers scored runs in all six innings Monday; they scored two runs in the first, third, and fourth innings, they scored one in the second inning, the Bombers scored 10 runs in the fifth and added seven more runs in the sixth inning.


Braham scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and added 2 more runs in the bottom of the sixth, but it wasn’t enough as the Barnum Bombers win on the road on Monday. The Braham loss was the sixth straight loss for the Bombers.


Barnum had big offensive outputs from Allanie Hanek-Siltanen, who was 4-4 with four runs scored; she also had a double and a triple for the Bombers. Karianna Duesler finished 4-6 Monday, with six runs batted in and she also added a double in the victory.


Lauren Hultgren was the winning pitcher for the Bombers as she went six innings Monday; she allowed 10 hits and seven earned runs in the Barnum win. She finished with 10 strikeouts while walking five Braham batters.


Barnum moves to 6-6 on the season with Monday’s win. They will be in action again on Tuesday afternoon when they will face South Ridge at home. The Barnum will also host Esko on Thursday afternoon in a Polar League Conference contest.
