Rebel Boys Win – Girls Fall At Pine City Invite

The Moose Lake-Willow River Boys golf team came through with a victory with a win over the Pine City Dragons in a dual meet, while the Lady Rebels fell to the Dragons to split the meet for both schools at Pine City.

The Rebels boys team shot a team total of 158, while the Dragons shot a 185 on the day. The Pine City girls team edged out the Lady Rebels by just three stokes, as the Dragons shot a team total of 202 and the Lady Rebels came in with a score of 205 on the day.

The Rebels had three players share the spotlight as Nathaniel Koeck, Grant Douglas and Stephen Gassert all finished with 39’s. Jacob Indihar shot a 41, Gabe Douglas has a 43, and it was Zach Schamburg finishing with a 47.

Jake Brytowski and Jake Emslander both shot 44’s for the Dragons. Tyler Devine shot a 46, Stephen Pulkrabek and Joe Wolf both shot a 51, and it was Tim Belland who rounded out the Dragons with a score of 54.

girls event saw the Rebels Samantha Schamburg lead all players with a 45 on the day; finishing one shot ahead the Dragons Tatum Ritter who shot a 46. Dragons Mariah Kuzel and Laurel Anderson both shot 51’s to finish tied for third.

The Rebels Kayla Larson and Lindsey Loehlein both shot 52 on the afternoon, while Alexis Babcock finished with a 56, Future-Hope Vang finished with a 59, and it was Sage Gerard who rounded out the Rebels scoring with a 60.
